Indian expatriates working in various sectors in China have raised concerns over several challenges they are facing. During an open house event organized by the Indian Embassy in China, they highlighted issues including anti-India content on social media platforms, difficulties in obtaining work visas for Indian professionals, and restrictions affecting employment opportunities for their spouses.
Indian Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami and consular officials interacted with the expatriates and listened to their concerns. Responding to the issues, Doraiswami said efforts are being made to counter misinformation through fact-based content on social media platforms. He also announced plans to organize more cultural events to showcase India’s diverse traditions and cuisine.
