Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed the municipal department to develop Outer Ring Roads for Khammam, Warangal, and Karimnagar corporations, keeping in view the upcoming airports in these regions. During a review meeting held at MCRHRDI in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for integrated urban planning, including modern underground drainage systems, sewage treatment plants, and solid waste management units. He also highlighted the importance of renewable energy generation, suggesting the establishment of solar plants in municipalities and the use of advanced technologies in infrastructure development.
The Chief Minister further instructed officials to promote electric vehicles, including rental fleets, to reduce costs and environmental impact. He called for AI-based traffic management systems, multi-utility towers to reduce radiation, and mandatory reuse of treated wastewater in construction. He also proposed tourism and temple corridors, including routes connecting Nalgonda and Yadagirigutta, and Adilabad with Nagoba, Basara, and Kadem projects. Stressing long-term vision, he said the Warangal, Karimnagar, and Khammam corridor would play a crucial role in Telangana’s future development, especially with the upcoming airports transforming the region’s landscape.
