BJP MLA Aleti Maheshwar Reddy Alleges ‘Scam-Ridden Governance’ in Telangana

Speaking at the BJP state office, BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy alleged that Telangana has witnessed several scams since the Congress came to power. He referred to the 2G and coal scams during earlier Congress-led governments at the Centre and alleged that similar controversies are now emerging in Telangana. He claimed that four ministers and four contractors are controlling the state and raised serious questions over alleged irregularities in land administration. He also questioned the status of the forensic audit promised by Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on the Dharani portal and asked why its findings had not been made public.

Maheshwar Reddy alleged that poor people’s lands were added to the prohibited list under Section 22-A and questioned how lands could later be removed from the list. He also alleged that large areas of forest, assigned, endowment and Waqf lands had been encroached upon. Referring to earlier allegations regarding such lands, he questioned why they had not been recovered. He further raised allegations concerning Nadergul, Vattinagulapally, Future City and transactions involving Phoenix Group. Maheshwar Reddy demanded an ED and CBI probe into the alleged land dealings and said he was ready to prove his allegations with evidence. These claims are allegations made by Maheshwar Reddy.
