The Telangana Civil Supplies Department has announced major relief for ration card holders across the state. Considering the ongoing heavy rainfall and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, the department has extended the deadline for completing e-KYC until August 31, Chief Rationing Officer Rajireddy said. The decision comes as a relief to beneficiaries who were worried about disruptions in receiving essential commodities.
In another significant move, the government has allowed beneficiaries to collect three months' ration rice for August, September, and October in a single visit between August 1 and August 31. The initiative aims to reduce inconvenience during the monsoon season and speed up the e-KYC process. Officials urged all pending beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC at the nearest ration shop and collect their allotted quota within the stipulated period.
