Bhogapuram Airport Ushers in a New Era for North Andhra - CM Chandrababu Naidu

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said North Andhra is on course to become one of the most developed regions in the country, with the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram marking a historic milestone. Addressing the inaugural ceremony, he said the region, once lacking even basic transport connectivity, now has a world-class international airport. He announced that North Andhra has attracted investments worth ₹6.13 lakh crore across 189 projects over the past two years, creating employment opportunities for nearly 5.57 lakh people. Major investments from Google, ArcelorMittal, semiconductor projects and irrigation initiatives are expected to transform the region's economy.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending strong support to Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu credited the Centre for backing projects such as the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, the Railway Zone, Polavaram, Amaravati and key infrastructure initiatives. He said the Polavaram Project would be dedicated to the nation by 2027 and the first phase of Amaravati would be completed by 2028. Thanking farmers who contributed land for the airport, he said they had laid the foundation for North Andhra's prosperous future. He also congratulated students who created Guinness World Records through the Thinsa dance performance.
