The results of the Assembly elections in Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Puducherry are set to be announced on Monday amid tight security at counting centres. With exit polls predicting a close contest, political parties are confident of victory and have begun preparations for celebrations. In Kerala, both UDF and BJP cadres are gearing up with large-scale arrangements, including feasts and cultural events.
In Malappuram district, UDF workers have reportedly prepared biryani for around 5,000 people, arranging 16 large vessels and setting up tents for distribution. Meanwhile, BJP leaders in Kochi have ordered hundreds of laddus, expressing optimism about opening their account in the state. Exit polls suggest a possible setback for the ruling LDF led by Pinarayi Vijayan, while indicating an advantage for the UDF and a potential entry for BJP in the Assembly.
