An Amazon cargo aircraft met with a major accident at Miami International Airport in the United States. The aircraft, which had arrived from Puerto Rico, reportedly lost control while landing and veered off the runway. It then crashed into vehicles on a nearby road used for access to commercial establishments, triggering a fire. Thick smoke engulfed the area following the crash.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene and launched rescue operations. The pilot and co-pilot, along with people trapped inside vehicles and another person who was stuck beneath the aircraft, were rescued. Officials said five people died after suffering critical injuries, while several others were shifted to hospitals for treatment. However, authorities are yet to clarify whether those killed were passengers or crew members on the aircraft or people who were on the road.
