Adani Family Becomes India’s Wealthiest Family

Gautam Adani and his family have reclaimed the top position in the 2026 M3M Hurun India Rich List, moving ahead of Mukesh Ambani and his family. According to the list, the Adani family’s estimated wealth reached ₹9.23 lakh crore after recording a 13% increase over the previous year. This marks a return to the top position for the Adani family in the latest wealth ranking.

Mukesh Ambani and his family, who previously occupied the number one position, have moved to second place. Their estimated wealth stands at ₹8.63 lakh crore following a 10% decline over the past year. Meanwhile, Lakshmi Niwas Mittal and his family climbed to the third position, with their wealth rising 93% to ₹3.39 lakh crore. The increase was largely linked to gains associated with the ArcelorMittal family’s wealth.
