

Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy announced that the state government will spend ₹808 crore to restore 684 ancient temples across the state. On Sunday, he laid the foundation stone for the renovation of dilapidated temples in Perumallapadu, Chejerla, and Chittaluru villages of Chejerla mandal in Nellore district. The restoration works for these temples will be taken up at an estimated cost of ₹5.50 crore.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is giving top priority to the revival of the state's spiritual heritage. He added that the government aims to construct 5,000 Srivani temples across Andhra Pradesh over the next three years. He also stated that renovation and repair works of temples along the Godavari River are being accelerated in preparation for the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu.
