Raksha Bandhan Greetings to Sisters – Pawan Kalyan

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan extended heartfelt Raksha Bandhan greetings to all sisters, describing the festival as a symbol of the affection and emotional bond between brothers and sisters. He said Rakhi Purnima reflects the bonds, relationships and responsibilities deeply rooted in the Indian family system, while promoting brotherhood, respect and a sense of security for women.

Pawan Kalyan reaffirmed that the coalition government is committed to women’s safety and empowerment. He highlighted initiatives including three free LPG cylinders annually under Deepam-2, Thalliki Vandanam and Stree Shakti, along with efforts to connect tribal habitations with roads. He said 426 tribal habitations have already been connected, while further road expansion is being taken up under Adavi Thalli Bata Phase-2. He also announced steps to establish a special blood bank in Araku to help protect tribal women from sickle cell anaemia.
