An interesting discussion has once again emerged around the release of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Vishwambhara’. With the film seemingly unlikely to arrive during the Dasara season, reports suggest that UV Creations is considering a December release. However, Chiranjeevi’s other film ‘Kaka’ is scheduled to hit theatres on January 13. If ‘Vishwambhara’ arrives in December, fans could potentially get two Chiranjeevi releases within a month. At the same time, industry circles are debating whether such a short gap would be favourable from a market and box-office perspective. Some believe postponing ‘Vishwambhara’ to the summer of 2027 could be a better option.
The December release window is also expected to be highly competitive, with films such as ‘Fauji’, ‘NBK111’, Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ reportedly in the race. The pending visual effects work on ‘Vishwambhara’ is another factor that could influence the release decision. The makers are likely to finalise the new date only after Chiranjeevi reviews the completed output and gives his approval. If everything falls into place, back-to-back releases in December and January could turn into a major double treat for Chiranjeevi’s fans.
