

Traffic restrictions will be imposed across parts of Hyderabad and Cyberabad on Sunday, August 30, in view of the 14th NMDC Marathon, traffic police said. The marathon will feature full marathon (42.195 km), half marathon (21.097 km) and 10 km categories, with the event scheduled from 5 am to 11:30 am. The full and half marathons will start from People’s Plaza on Necklace Road, while the 10 km run will begin near the HITEX Exhibition Hall in Madhapur. All three routes will converge near GMC Balayogi Stadium in Gachibowli.
Heavy vehicles, including trucks, lorries, DCMs, ready-mix concrete carriers and water tankers, will be restricted on the event routes from 5 am to 12:30 pm. Traffic from the Shaikpet Flyover towards Lingampally will be diverted via Khajaguda Junction, Nanakramguda and Gopanpally. Vehicles travelling from Lingampally towards Mehdipatnam will be diverted through Masjid Banda, Botanical Garden, Anjaiah Nagar and the ORR towards Khajaguda. Traffic from Kondapur and Kothaguda towards Cyber Towers will be diverted through Anjaiah Nagar, Rolling Hills and Durgam Cheruvu. Cab, auto and taxi operators have also been advised to avoid passenger pick-ups and drop-offs along restricted routes.
