Maruti Suzuki has decided to challenge a recent order issued by the Raipur District Consumer Commission regarding an E20 fuel compatibility case. The commission had directed the company to replace a customer’s vehicle with a new model compatible with E20 fuel, triggering a response from the automaker.
In its official statement, Maruti Suzuki clarified that the vehicle in question was already E20-compatible and that the owner’s manual clearly specified this feature. The company also pointed out evidence of contaminated fuel being used in the vehicle. It has announced that it will challenge the ruling before a higher forum, sparking fresh debate over E20 fuel compatibility and manufacturer liability.
