Indian Markets End Lower

Domestic stock markets, which opened with modest gains on Tuesday morning, ended the trading session in the red. The Sensex fell 777.94 points, or 1.04%, to close at 74,003.82. The Nifty declined 279.50 points, or 1.19%, by the end of the session.

Tata Investment Corporation Limited, Sonata Software Limited and ACME Solar Holdings Limited featured among the top gainers. Meanwhile, shares of Welspun Corp Limited, Netweb Technologies India Limited and Jindal SAW Limited recorded losses during the session.
