Gold prices have surged sharply following attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel, triggering global market uncertainty. Analysts believe that if tensions continue, the price of 10 grams of gold could once again cross ₹2 lakh in the coming days. Experts also predict that silver prices may touch ₹4 lakh per kilogram amid ongoing geopolitical instability.
As of March 1 at 11:30 a.m., the price of 24-carat gold in Hyderabad stood at ₹1,73,080 per 10 grams, marking an increase of over ₹4,300 compared to the previous day. The rate of 22-carat gold was ₹1,58,650 per 10 grams, rising by nearly ₹4,000. In Delhi, 24-carat gold reached ₹1,73,230 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at ₹1,58,800.
Silver prices have also witnessed a significant jump. In Hyderabad, silver is currently priced at ₹3.25 lakh per kilogram, while in Delhi it stands at ₹2.95 lakh per kilogram. The sharp rise reflects investor demand for safe-haven assets amid escalating global tensions.
