NotebookLM has been updated with support for data tables, allowing users to organise information in a structured, table-based format within Google’s AI-powered research platform. These tables can be exported to Google Sheets and later downloaded as Microsoft Excel files. The feature is currently rolling out to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers, with Google confirming it will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
With data tables, users can convert meeting transcripts into tables and synthesise information from multiple research papers, including details such as study years, sample sizes, and statistics. The tables can be customised based on user-defined priorities, making comparative analysis easier and more efficient.
In addition, NotebookLM now allows users to export Notes and Reports to formats such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, and source code, enabling easy access and editing on the go. These updates follow recent enhancements like Chat History and Slide Decks, which help users resume conversations, view context, refine presentations, and convert content into documents and videos.
