AI Impact Summit 2026, India’s first major artificial intelligence summit, will be held from February 16 to 20 in New Delhi. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has revealed that the summit will focus on democratising AI infrastructure to prevent AI from being controlled by a few companies and countries. The key pillars of the event are global access and AI-led development of humanity.
MeitY Secretary S. Krishnan said the main theme is bridging the emerging AI divide by making AI widely available as an enabling technology. The government aims to expand access to compute, AI models and datasets both in India and globally, enabling AI solutions tailored to different societies and communities.
The summit will prioritise productive sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, education, governance and manufacturing. It is guided by three Sutras People, Planet and Progress which promote inclusive growth, environmental protection and human-centric AI development. The event will be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi and is expected to feature 300+ exhibitions with participation from 30+ countries. Notable attendees include Jensen Huang, Demis Hassabis, Dario Amodei, K. Krithivasan and Shantanu Narayen.
