Invest in Telangana.. Minister Vivek Urges Japanese Companies

The Telangana government has initiated efforts to build stronger industrial, technological and skill-development partnerships with Kitakyushu, a prominent industrial city in Japan. A delegation led by Telangana Energy Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy met Kitakyushu Deputy Mayor Chikako Oba and held discussions on potential areas of cooperation. The minister proposed establishing a ‘Kitakyushu–Telangana Technology Bridge’ to connect Hyderabad’s startup and IT innovation ecosystem with Kitakyushu’s industrial strengths. He highlighted the need for collaboration in advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, industrial automation, semiconductors and green technology.

Minister Vivek said Telangana plans to establish a structured mechanism to provide skilled youth to Japanese companies facing a growing shortage of human resources. Telangana Overseas Manpower Company Limited (TOMCOM) will serve as the key institutional platform for the initiative. Job requirements and educational qualifications from Kitakyushu companies will be collected, followed by candidate selection, certificate verification and training in Japanese language skills, workplace culture and safety standards. He said linking Telangana’s skilled workforce with Japanese industrial requirements would create better international employment opportunities for the state’s youth.
