Unlike other AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude, Meta AI has been slow in rolling out new features. However, a recent report suggests that Meta, owned by Mark Zuckerberg, is working on several major updates to enhance the platform’s overall user experience. Some updates focus on increasing interoperability, while others aim to improve core functionality.
The report from TestingCatalog revealed evidence of upcoming features in the Meta AI codebase. Internal modes beyond the existing Fast and Thinking modes were spotted, along with two AI models named Avocado and Avocado Thinking. While Avocado is reportedly functional, generating responses using it did not show immediate quality improvements, possibly due to server routing via existing models.
In December 2025, Meta acquired Manus AI, known for its autonomous general-purpose AI agent. References to a model named Sierra were found in the code, along with mentions of the Manus browser agent. This indicates that Meta may be integrating Manus AI technology to add a browser agent, although the specific functionalities are not yet clear.
Additionally, the code references suggest planned support for OpenClaw, which would allow users to connect any model via their API key, termed as an “OpenClaw agent.” However, since all features are still in development, it remains uncertain how or when they will be released. Users are advised to wait for official announcements from Meta for confirmation.
