

UP Warriorz delivered an impressive performance in the 8th match of the Women’s Premier League, defeating the strong Mumbai Indians to open their account this season. Chasing a target of 162 runs, UP Warriorz completed the task with 14 balls to spare, showcasing confidence and composure. Harleen Deol played a pivotal role with a classy innings that anchored the chase.
Mumbai Indians, batting first, posted 161/5 in 20 overs, with Nat Sciver-Brunt scoring a fluent 65. Amanjot Kaur (38) and Nicola Carey (32 not out) added valuable runs, while captain Harmanpreet Kaur had a modest outing. In reply, Harleen Deol smashed 62 runs, including 12 boundaries, well supported by Phoebe Litchfield (25) and Chloe Tryon (21 not out).
