

Athletes supported by Eenadu CSR initiative ‘Lakshya’ delivered impressive performances at the South Zone Junior Athletics Championships, which began in Puducherry on Wednesday. Several athletes from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh won medals across different events. Telangana’s Sridivya Dora clinched the gold medal in the Under-16 girls’ 80m hurdles, clocking 12.21 seconds. Andhra Pradesh’s Duddu Seshudu also secured gold in the 100m sprint after completing the race in 10.92 seconds.
The medal-winning performances continued in other events as well. Andhra Pradesh’s Mounika Mishra won silver in the long jump with an effort of 5.41 metres. Telangana’s Prashamsa secured bronze in the girls’ 400m after recording a timing of 58.17 seconds. Raghupathi Naidu of Telangana won a bronze medal in the triathlon, while Andhra Pradesh’s Rishitha claimed bronze in the javelin throw with a best effort of 31.16 metres. The performances highlight the strong showing of Lakshya athletes from both Telugu states at the championship.
