Afghanistan got off to a shaky start in the first T20I against India in Delhi, losing wickets early in the innings. Azmatullah Omarzai then steadied the innings with a crucial knock, scoring a half-century and leading the fightback to help Afghanistan post a respectable total.
Afghanistan finished with 156 runs, with the batters producing a late surge in the final over. They smashed 6, 6, 1, 4 and 4 to add valuable runs at the death. As a result, India have been set a target of 157 runs to win the opening T20I.
