She remains in contention for a bronze medal and is scheduled to face Ikehatа in the repechage round. In the women’s 57kg category, Neha Sharma’s campaign came to an end. After defeating Algeria’s Jamila 4–2 in the opening round, Neha lost 1–4 to Irina of Belarus in the pre-quarterfinals. Kajal and Neelam’s progress to the finals marks a significant milestone for Indian women’s wrestling.
