Indian Hockey Team Thrashes Pakistan

India produced a stunning performance in the Junior Women’s Asia Cup Hockey tournament, thrashing arch-rivals Pakistan 19-0 in the quarterfinal. The match was played at Mokki in China on Thursday, with India dominating from the opening minutes. Pooja Sahu opened the scoring in the seventh minute, followed by goals from Roshini Aind, Tanushree Dinesh Kadu, Sukhveer Kaur and Sanika Chandrakant Mane. Mane scored again in the 23rd minute, while Tanuja, Pooja Malik and Purnima Yadav also found the net. India led 10-0 at half-time.

India continued its attacking display in the second half. Pooja Malik completed a hat-trick, while Supriya scored twice. Krishna Sharma, Binima Dhan and Roshini also impressed as India kept Pakistan under constant pressure. Roshini added another goal in the final minute to complete India’s emphatic 19-0 victory. The result sent India into the Asia Cup semifinals, where they will face the winner of the South Korea-Malaysia quarterfinal. India had earlier topped its group after defeating Japan, Malaysia and South Korea.
