

India National Cricket Team took complete control of the one-off Test against Afghanistan National Cricket Team at Mullanpur, declaring their first innings at a commanding 564/8 after 127 overs. Resuming Day 2 at 368/3, India added another 197 runs before captaincy decided to declare the innings. The hosts were powered by brilliant centuries from KL Rahul (100) and Shubman Gill (126), putting Afghanistan under immense pressure.
India's batting unit delivered another strong performance with valuable contributions from Sai Sudharsan (81), Rishabh Pant (81), Washington Sundar (52*) and others. At the time of declaration, Washington Sundar and Kuldeep Yadav (9*) remained unbeaten. For Afghanistan, Saleem Safi was the standout bowler, claiming six wickets, while Rehman Sharifi and Hashmatullah Shahidi picked up one wicket each.
