Team India batter Sanju Samson has said that he has learned to deal with comments and criticism surrounding his career, although he admitted that outside opinions can sometimes affect him. Speaking after his match-winning 57 off 22 balls against Afghanistan, Samson said he occasionally checks comments made by former players and understands that everyone is entitled to their opinion. He added that he has gained enough experience to handle both positive and negative comments, while acknowledging that he is not a machine and that criticism can sometimes hurt.

Samson also spoke about the competition for a place at the top of India’s T20I batting order, particularly with the emergence of 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He said decisions involving the Indian team are not easy and pointed out that Sooryavanshi’s strong performances have made his inclusion a natural consideration. Samson stressed that players should focus on the team’s requirements rather than viewing selection as a personal rivalry.
