Hyderabad will host the second season of the Archery Premier League (APL) from October 8 to October 18 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road. The 11 day event will bring together six franchise teams and 48 Indian and international archers for a world class competition.
The league, supported by the Archery Association of India and the Government of Telangana, will feature recurve and compound archery events. It introduces a 15 second shot clock, which is 5 seconds shorter than the standard 20 second format used in international competitions, increasing speed and pressure in the game.
Season 1 champions Rajputana Royals will return along with teams Mighty Marathas, Prithviraaj Yodhas, Kakatiya Knights, Chero Archers, and Chola Chiefs. The event will feature top global stars, including Olympic and world champions, with 48 archers competing in a double round-robin format, followed by semi-finals and the final on October 18.
