Hyderabad: K. Kavitha, President of Telangana Jagruthi, strongly criticized the budget presented by the Congress government, calling it a “fake, revisionary and fabricated” budget. She alleged that the budget has done injustice to all sections of society, including Backward Classes (BCs), women, unemployed youth, farmers, persons with disabilities and minorities. Speaking at a press meet held today at the Telangana Jagruthi office in Banjara Hills, she stated that allocations for schemes like Rythu Bharosa and Cheyutha pensions have been carried forward from the previous year without any changes. She accused the government of lacking vision and described the budget as merely a “revision budget.” Kavitha also criticized Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for failing to fulfill their promise of allocating ₹20,000 crore annually for BCs, noting that only 4% of the budget has been allotted to them despite BCs constituting 56% of the state’s population.
She further questioned how the Revanth Reddy-led government is utilizing the massive loans it has taken. According to her, the state has accumulated a debt of approximately ₹8.64 lakh crore, placing a burden of around ₹2.16 lakh on each individual and nearly ₹9 lakh on every family. She alleged that despite raising such large sums through borrowings, the government has failed to deliver any tangible benefits to the public.
Kavitha also demanded an explanation from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the lack of financial support from the central government, despite his multiple visits to Delhi and meetings with Narendra Modi. She criticized Congress leaders for failing to deliver public welfare and accused them of engaging in mutual blame games. Concluding her remarks, she described the current administration as a “fake, faker and fakest government,” expressing strong disapproval of its governance.
