Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appeared in person before the Nampally People’s Representatives Court on Thursday in connection with cases registered earlier at Osmania University, Tirumalagiri, and Mattampally police stations. One of the key cases dates back to 2016, when police booked him for allegedly organising a public meeting at Osmania University in violation of prescribed norms. Additional cases were also registered during the same period at Tirumalagiri and Mattampally police stations on various grounds.
Seeking relief, the Chief Minister approached the Nampally People’s Representatives Court, requesting that all three cases be quashed. In his petition, he contended that the cases were filed unlawfully and motivated by political pressure. He attended the ongoing hearing personally, and according to available information, the court has completed the hearing related to all three cases.
