Speculation continues to surround the political future of former Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai, who is currently in New Delhi. Reports suggest that discussions are underway regarding his future political course, with rumors emerging that he could eventually launch a new political outfit. While there were expectations that an announcement might be made on his birthday, sources indicate that no immediate decision is likely. Meanwhile, reports claim that documents have been submitted to the Election Commission seeking registration of a new party under the proposed names "Tamilaga Makkal Kazhagam" or "Tamilaga Makkal Katchi."
Political circles believe the proposed party could be linked to Annamalai's future plans. Sources also suggest that he may maintain a low political profile for the next six months while expanding the activities of his "We Leaders" trust, potentially transforming it into a broader public movement. Reports indicate that the RSS has advised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah not to lose Annamalai's leadership within the BJP. Posters expressing support for Annamalai have also appeared in Madurai, including images featuring actors Ajith Kumar and Rajinikanth, reflecting growing interest in his next political move.
