Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has accused the Aam Aadmi Party of misusing government machinery in Punjab to target MPs who recently left the party. He alleged that the party has fallen into the hands of corrupt and compromised individuals, forcing them to exit. Chadha further claimed that AAP is attempting to file false cases against MPs who joined the BJP, citing the registration of an FIR against Sandeep Pathak as part of this strategy.
Chadha stated that he has sought an appointment with Droupadi Murmu to bring the matter to her attention and is expected to meet her on May 5 along with other MPs. Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also indicated that he would approach the President regarding the merger of seven MPs into the BJP. The developments have intensified political tensions in Punjab.
