Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi has strongly criticized the central government over its handling of ongoing student protests across the country. She questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence in Parliament despite widespread unrest and urged the media to hold the government accountable rather than targeting the opposition. She emphasized the need to question the government on the actions taken regarding students’ demands and the reasons behind disruptions in Parliament proceedings.
Priyanka Gandhi also raised concerns over the alleged use of force against students, questioning when Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would resign. She called on the media to question Home Minister Amit Shah regarding incidents of lathi-charge, suspension of internet services, and the invocation of the NSA against students. She demanded clarity on whether the government is treating protesting students as threats, urging transparency and accountability.
