Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu stressed that Members of Parliament play a vital role in the overall development of Andhra Pradesh. Addressing the TDP Parliamentary Party meeting at the camp office, he urged MPs to focus on development opportunities and problem-solving within their constituencies and to actively work towards securing more central funds during the upcoming Parliament Budget Session.
The Chief Minister identified the special package for North Andhra and Rayalaseema, the Purvodaya scheme, Polavaram, and Nallamala Sagar projects as top priorities. He asked MPs to remain in constant touch with Union Ministers and officials, especially with the proposed bill to grant legal status to Amaravati as the state capital likely to be introduced in the current session. Emphasising Polavaram, he said pending funds and rehabilitation works must be pursued firmly without unnecessary inter-state disputes.
CM Chandrababu further stated that development works worth ₹40,000 crore are planned under the Purvodaya initiative and highlighted the importance of fully utilising railway funds for infrastructure such as flyovers and road over bridges. He also called on MPs to actively participate in national-level debates, strongly defend NDA initiatives in Parliament, and coordinate closely with MLAs to address public issues, ensuring collective efforts towards the state’s growth.
