MRPS leader Mandakrishna Madiga has written a letter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, urging the party to allocate a Rajya Sabha seat to the Madiga community from Telangana. He stated that the community was denied tickets even in the Lok Sabha elections and expressed concern over the lack of Madiga representation from Telangana in Parliament. Mandakrishna also alleged that there is not even a single Madiga member in the Congress Working Committee (CWC).
He accused the Congress of deliberately preventing Madigas from entering Parliament and demanded immediate corrective measures. The MRPS has called for protests in front of Congress offices across the state. Demonstrations will be held today at 3 PM at district Congress offices, followed by the submission of memorandums to DCC presidents at 4 PM, pressing for Rajya Sabha representation for the community.
