Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu criticised the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), alleging that it was using legal proceedings to obstruct development projects and local body elections. He made these remarks during a teleconference on Wednesday with ministers, MPs, MLAs and candidates contesting the local elections. Naidu reportedly accused the opposition of creating disruptions and subsequently approaching courts in an attempt to stall the election process.
Naidu also alleged that the opposition was attempting to misrepresent court verdicts and had filed around 60 petitions on various issues. He criticised YSRCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy over his alleged role in these legal challenges and said such actions could pose challenges to the democratic process. The Chief Minister urged party leaders to explain to the public what he described as the opposition’s actions and to focus on their campaign for the local body elections.
