Following the completion of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) inquiry of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao along with senior party leaders addressed the media at KCR’s residence. Criticising the Congress government’s two-year rule, KTR described its governance in three words — Diversion, Subversion and Perversion. He alleged that the ruling party was deliberately diverting public attention, covering up its administrative failures, and indulging in what he termed “distorted politics.”
KTR stated that the SIT had failed to follow legal procedures and did not adhere to the provisions of the BNSS law enacted by Parliament. However, he emphasized that despite this, KCR cooperated fully with the investigation out of respect for the Constitution and rule of law. He asserted that KCR was not legally bound to appear in person and could have sought court relief, citing several legal precedents. “Yet, as the first Chief Minister of Telangana and a responsible public representative, KCR answered every question clearly and transparently,” he said. KTR expressed confidence that the inquiry proved no wrongdoing had occurred and urged the media not to rely on alleged leaks, stating that such leaks only expose the weakness of the case.
