BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao addressed the audience at the “Musi Revival – PowerPoint Presentation versus Public Point” event held at Himayat Sagar in Hyderabad. He stated that the Congress party’s current Musi development project is more of a land acquisition scheme than a beautification initiative. He highlighted that the previous BRS government had successfully implemented 6 kilometers of development in the Musi area with a budget of ₹16,000 crore, without demolishing a single house and that the projects in Uppal and Nagole were completed successfully.
K.T. Rama Rao clarified that they are not against development itself. He emphasized that the focus is solely on preventing corruption and assured that the BRS will protect the residents of Hyderabad city regardless of political affiliations. He further stated that BRS party leaders will stand by those affected by land issues and Musi project-related concerns in every area, and if the victims collectively fight for two years, the new government will ensure that every individual’s homes and lands are protected.
