KTR Clarifies BRS Alliance Stand

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao has ruled out an alliance with the BJP for the 2028 Telangana Assembly elections. Speaking at O.P. Jindal Global University on ‘Innovation in Governance: The Story of a Startup State’, KTR later interacted with students on politics, governance, delimitation, artificial intelligence and technology. On the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies, he said the BRS would support a bill if the total number of seats is increased proportionately across the country. He also called for the representation of southern states to be considered while expanding the number of seats.

KTR explained Telangana’s development model through the concepts of certainty and possibility. He stressed the need to create a stable environment through infrastructure and reliable public services while building an ecosystem that encourages innovation, entrepreneurship and new opportunities. He highlighted initiatives in irrigation, agriculture, drinking water and power, and discussed the role of T-Hub, T-Works, WE-Hub and TASK in Telangana’s innovation ecosystem. He also encouraged students to embrace new technologies and view limitations as opportunities to learn, improve and implement solutions. The Telangana startup portal lists T-Hub, T-Works, WE-Hub and TASK among the state’s startup ecosystem enablers.
