Political controversy over RTC employees’ strike

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar has alleged that BRS leader T. Harish Rao encouraged RTC employees to go on strike. He claimed that during discussions with officials, JAC leaders abruptly left after speaking on the phone with someone, calling it part of a planned conspiracy.

The minister further accused the previous government of weakening the RTC and said the ongoing strike was politically motivated. He also claimed that opposition BRS was attempting to destabilize welfare schemes and was driven by political and economic interests.
