Danam Nagender’s Key Reaction to the Supreme Court Verdict..!

Danam Nagender has responded to the Supreme Court’s decision upholding the Telangana High Court judgment that disqualified him as the Khairatabad MLA under the anti-defection law. The Supreme Court dismissed his plea challenging the High Court verdict, which had declared his disqualification effective from April 23, 2024, and held that the Khairatabad Assembly seat had fallen vacant.

Speaking after the verdict, Nagender said he welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision and maintained that there was nothing wrong with pursuing a legal battle. He said he had anticipated the possibility of such a development when he contested the Secunderabad Lok Sabha election and approached the Supreme Court seeking legal relief. Nagender said he would return to the people and contest again when elections are held. He added that he had not met anyone regarding his political plans and had been waiting for the court’s decision. He said his next decision about the party and his political course would be taken after the election schedule is announced. He also expressed confidence in receiving public support and said he would focus on constituency-level work.
