Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar strongly criticized the Congress and BRS parties over the ongoing controversy related to remarks on Telangana. He questioned why leaders were creating controversy over BJP MP Tejasvi Surya’s statements, asserting that Surya only referred to historical events linked to the country’s division and did not insult Telangana. He further asked whether Congress leaders had forgotten past remarks made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that he had earlier made strong comments against Sonia Gandhi.
Bandi Sanjay also accused the Congress of mishandling the Telangana statehood issue, stating that policy reversals and delays had caused distress during the movement. He questioned the reaction of BRS leaders, asking why they were disturbed when Congress decisions were being criticized. He added that attempts were being made to divert public attention, particularly at a time when the Women’s Reservation Bill was gaining national focus.
