The Telangana People’s Association of Dallas (TPAD), which previously attracted Telugu people living abroad by organizing Bathukamma celebrations with 10,000 attendees, hosted an even grander event this year with nearly 15,000 participants. The celebrations took place at the prestigious Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas, and resembled a large-scale convention. More than 1,000 women and young women participated in Bathukamma songs and dances, filling the venue with the vibrant spirit of Telangana traditions. A massive Bathukamma display at the stadium was a major attraction, followed by the traditional immersion ceremony. The event also featured a dance performance depicting Mahishasura Mardini.
Telugu film actor Naveen Polishetty entertained the audience with his trademark comic timing and dance performances, energizing the venue. A musical concert by Infusion Band, led by renowned singer Krishna Chaitanya, captivated the audience. The celebrations were organized under the leadership of TPAD President Lakshmi Poreddy, Foundation Committee Chair Raghuveer Bandaru, Board of Trustees Chair Ravikanth Mamidi and Coordinator Lingareddy. According to the organizers, 20 committees worked for three months to make the grand event a success.
