AP SIR Draft Voter List Released

The Election Commission has released the draft voter list in Andhra Pradesh as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. The Chief Electoral Officer stated that enumeration forms were submitted by 3.71 crore voters. During verification, around 15.22 lakh deceased voters and 7.37 lakh individuals with duplicate registrations at multiple locations were identified.

Officials said objections and claims regarding the draft voter list can be submitted until August 30. The final voter list will be published on October 3. Eligible citizens can register through Form-6, while the CEO clarified that no voter’s name will be removed without issuing a notice and conducting an inquiry. The Election Commission will hold a meeting with political parties on August 4.
