The second ODI between India and New Zealand has begun after a delay of around one hour due to rain. With the weather affecting the proceedings, the umpires reduced the match to 47 overs per side. New Zealand openers Will Young and Tim Seifert walked out to the crease to begin their innings, while Arshdeep Singh took the new ball for India. The rain interruption changed the match schedule, but the contest is now underway in Wellington.
The revised playing conditions also brought changes to the powerplay timings. The first powerplay will be in effect from overs 1 to 10, followed by the second powerplay from overs 11 to 38. The final powerplay will begin in the 39th over and continue until the 47th over. Both teams will now look to make the most of the reduced 47-over contest.
