The Andhra Pradesh Government has informed the High Court that it is prepared to conduct local body elections and plans to hold them in the near future. Advocate General Dammalapati Srinivas, representing the state government, submitted that the necessary preparations for the electoral process are underway.
He stated that the Comprehensive Family Survey has been completed and that the survey data will be displayed before Gram Sabhas for two days starting June 19. The government will invite objections from the public until June 24. After reviewing the objections, the state is expected to proceed with the process of conducting local body elections.
