31-Member JPC Formed to Review Public Representatives Removal Bill – BJP Holds Majority!

A 31-member Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) has been formed under the leadership of BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi to examine the Public Representatives Removal Bill, which seeks to disqualify public representatives arrested on serious charges and jailed for more than 30 days.

The committee includes 15 members from the BJP and 11 from NDA allies.

Meanwhile, key parties from the INDIA bloc, including the Congress, have boycotted the JPC, paving the way for representation from NCP-SP, Akali Dal, AIMIM, and YSRCP.
