Andhra Pradesh is witnessing a remarkable revival under the NDA government since 2024, with several companies showing renewed interest in investing in the state. Businesses that had previously exited due to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s monopolistic policies are now making their return — signaling a strong comeback for Andhra’s industrial sector.
Among the major names, India’s largest wind energy company, Suzlon, has officially resumed operations in Andhra Pradesh, marking a major milestone in the state’s renewable energy journey.
Suzlon, which already contributes nearly 40% of Andhra Pradesh’s wind power capacity, has announced aggressive plans to expand its presence. The company is setting up a massive rotor blade manufacturing facility in Kuderu, Anantapur district, to meet growing domestic and global demand in the rapidly expanding $50 billion global blade market.
In a major development, Tata Power–Suzlon have jointly announced a ₹6,000 crore, 700 MW wind energy project — the first large-scale wind project in Andhra Pradesh since 2019. This partnership not only signifies industrial confidence but also revives the state’s green energy ambitions.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision to transform Andhra Pradesh into India’s renewable energy hub appears to be gaining strong momentum, with Suzlon’s return marking the beginning of a new sustainable era for the state.
