Telangana Agriculture Director Dr. B. Gopi said the Urea Booking App introduced by the Agriculture Department is running successfully, allowing farmers to book urea from their homes. The pilot project has been implemented in five districts—Adilabad, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Jangaon, and Peddapalli from December 22 through the Fertilizer Booking App.
Within just three days of its launch, 37,264 farmers in these pilot districts booked urea through the app, purchasing a total of 1,15,534 bags. Dr. Gopi clarified that farmers in districts outside the pilot area can continue to procure urea as usual from designated sale centres and need not worry. He added that the app-based booking system will be rolled out in phases across the remaining districts.
