The High Court heard the case related to the TTD Parakamani issue and made several important observations. The court stated that introducing technology in the Parakamani system is a positive development. However, it clearly mentioned that mishandling or trampling on offerings made by devotees is unacceptable.
The court also expressed concern over reports of devotees being asked to remove their clothes for inspection, stating that such actions hurt religious sentiments. It emphasized that these practices could negatively impact devotees’ faith.
The High Court directed CID and ACB officials to speed up the investigation and ensure transparency in the Parakamani process. The next hearing in the case has been adjourned to the 30th of this month.
