Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reacted strongly after the Women’s Reservation Bill was defeated in the Lok Sabha, calling it a historic and unforgettable moment in India’s political journey. In a tweet, he stated that the united stand of democratic forces and opposition leaders played a crucial role in preventing what he described as a “national crisis.”
He further expressed gratitude to key opposition leaders who stood together under challenging circumstances to oppose the bill. He credited leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and several regional party heads for their unity, courage, and commitment in defeating what he termed as “black bills,” highlighting the importance of collective resistance in a democratic system.
